Masirah is a small island meaning everything is reachable within 20 minutes of driving with only 12,000 inhabitants. The island is a fisherman’s island, which means if you love seafood it is the perfect place for you. Besides seafood there is also lots of curry, it’s a very Arabian/Indian type of place. You will meet friendly, curious and helpful locals on your expedition through Masirah. You will arrive as a tourist to the island and leave as a friend to the locals, they will gladly take you on many trips to see many different locations, always with the biggest smile. Some of these locations include the lagoon of Masirah island, which is unbelievably flat and with lots of space, a true kite surfers paradise for learning new tricks. They also have a gorgeous wave spot with 2-4 meter swell which both surfers and windsurfers absolutely love. Kite surfers who use a surfboard can progress their surfing skills very quickly in Masirah as the waves are clean and not too big. Most of the beaches are untouched and empty. We also provide snorkelling which is a must try if you love the ocean and it's wildlife. There are lots of different species to enjoy and even the biggest fish in the world, the breath-taking and harmless whale shark. These colossal sharks can grow up to 12 meters and arrive mainly in October. For people that like to stay at a safer distance dolphin watching per boat is also possible. Masirah is a great place all year round even though the main kitesurfing season lasts 4 months during the summer. In the winter you can still get good days averaging 15-20 knots but not as consistent compared to the summer season.
